Invisalign: How does it work?

Are you curious about Invisalign®? At Skelton Orthodontics, we proudly offer these invisible aligners that don’t use brackets or wires. If you’re looking for a more subtle treatment option, Invisalign may be right for you.

How does it work?

At your appointment, we’ll make a set of aligners customized to your teeth using 3D computer imaging technology. You will wear your aligners for approximately two weeks before switching them out for the next set.

During your day, feel free to remove the aligners when you eat and as you brush and floss your teeth.  As you replace each set, your teeth will slightly move each day until they reach the final position we prescribe.

Throughout your treatment, you’ll visit our office roughly every six weeks to ensure that treatment is progressing. Most people wear their aligners for six to 18 months, but treatment time varies depending on the individual.
