What does Invisalign® Gold mean?

Dr. Aimee Skelton is excited to be an Invisalign® Gold Provider for 2019! The level given to your Invisalign® status is determined from the orthodontist’s overall experience and the relative number of patients they have treated with Invisalign®. The levels range from bronze to VIP.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a company that makes a series of clear aligners to straighten your teeth. If you are a candidate for this form of treatment, Dr. Aimee Skelton will create a unique treatment plan for your aligners using 3D computer imaging technology. Invisalign® will then create the aligners based on Dr. Skelton’s treatment plan. You wear each set of aligners for approximately two weeks before switching them out for the next set until your teeth have shifted into the correct positions.

Many people prefer this more subtle form of treatment over metal brackets and wires. Invisalign® aligners can be removed to eat, drink and brush your teeth, but should be worn at all other times to stay on track with your plan.

Are you a candidate for Invisalign®?

We also offer Invisalign Teen® to our patients so age is not a factor! However, there are certain cases where Invisalign® is not a treatment option so the best way to tell if you are a candidate is in a complimentary exam here at our office.
