Sherrie Lankford
Treatment Coordinator
Sherrie is a Fort Payne High School graduate and has been with Dr. Skelton since 2006. Outside of the office, Sherrie loves to hang out with her husband Jeff and their grown children, Josh, Jordan, Jesi, daughter in law Emily and son in law Keaton. She has five grandchildren who are the joy of her life, Grayden, Graham, Harlan Grace, Brooks and Kyler. Sherrie loves going to the lake, spending time with her family, and going to her grandson’s baseball tournaments on the weekends. The best part of her job is: “having a wonderful work family, meeting new people, and seeing their beautiful smiles.”
Lisa Veal
Lisa is a graduate of Sylvania High School and has been a part of the Skelton Orthodontics family since May of 2007. Lisa obtained her Academy of Orthodontic Assisting certificate in the summer of 2007. She and her husband, Dale, have one son, Ethan, daughter in law, Abby, and her beautiful grandchildren, Olivia and Hudson. Lisa loves to spend time with her family and she loves to shop. Lisa’s favorite part about working at Skelton Orthodontics is “seeing all the smiling faces!”
Amey Nava
Clinical Assistant
Amey is a graduate of Douglas High School. Not only has she earned her Certified Dental Assistant Degree from Northeast State Community College, but she is also certified by the Academy of Orthodontic Assistants.Amey and her husband Fabian love having family adventures with their daughter Lexi. Amey’s favorite activities include hiking, canoeing, riding horses, and enjoying farm life. Amey’s favorite part about working at Skelton Orthodontics is “working with all of the great patients!”
Maci Carver
Marketing Coordinator
Maci has been with the Skelton Orthodontics team since 2018. She earned a bachelors degree in marketing from Jacksonville State University in 2021. She loves spending her free time with husband, Austin, her son, Fisher, their family and friends. Her favorite part about working at Skelton Orthodontics is getting to spend time with her work family and interacting with our amazing patients!
Diana Hernandez
Clinical Assistant
Diana is a 2012 graduate of Fort Payne High School. She attended Northeast Alabama Community College and achieved an associated degree in Liberal Arts. She also received a certificate through the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting. She spends most of her free time with her husband, Logan, and German Shepard, Maverick. She enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her family, and trying out new things. Diana’s favorite part about working at Skelton Orthodontics is helping patients achieve the smile they have always wanted!
Karley Barker
Clinical Assistant
Karley is a 2017 graduate of Fort Payne High School and has been a member of the Skelton Orthodontics team since July of 2024. When she isn’t at work, her free time is spent with her husband, Layton, and their three kids, Waylon, Jonesie, and Willie. Her favorite part about working at Skelton Orthodontics is seeing the joy on patients’ faces when they see their new smile!
Madelyn Thompson
Clinical Assistant
Madelyn earned her dental assisting certificate from the Huntsville Dental Assistant Program in 2021, and is also certified by the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew, their daughter Oaklyn, and their family and friends. She loves event planning, gardening, and working on her family farm. Madelyn’s favorite part about working for Skelton Orthodontics is spending time with her work family and helping our patients achieve their new smile!
